Passing the Torch: How Our Techs Empower Local Facility Teams Worldwides
November 11th, 2025 How Our Techs Empower Local Facility Teams Worldwide
At Fluid Solutions, we don’t just install systems. We build lasting partnerships. One of the most rewarding parts of our work, especially for our field technicians, is the opportunity to train and collaborate with local facilities staff at U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world.
Whether it’s a small system walkthrough or a multi-day, multi-discipline training, our team takes pride in helping local hires strengthen their technical knowledge and better maintain the systems they oversee. From fire protection to fuel management and water systems, our trainings are tailored to each Post’s needs and carried out with a spirit of respect, collaboration, and long-term support.
A Mutual Respect
Nearly every technician who returns from an overseas project share how positive and fulfilling the experience of training local staff has been. Many of these local teams take great pride in their facilities and genuinely want to keep things running smoothly, but they often lack access to the advanced technical training needed to do so effectively.
Our techs help fill that gap. In return, they’re met with enthusiasm and gratitude. Local staff are often eager to host, quick to engage, and excited to learn. These shared experiences foster strong working relationships and often lead to lasting connections that go beyond the job site.
From the Field
“Training is the best part of my job. I’ve had guys push each other out of the way to get their hands on the equipment we were working with. Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm the local guys have for knowledge on new equipment is an incredible feeling. I love the pertinent and intelligent questions I get as well. They push me to be better and more knowledgeable about my craft to better train them.”
— Brandon, Field Technician
“Whether it’s Gabon or Guatemala; I enjoy opportunities to help provide meaningful hands on training, troubleshooting and maintenance services for our clients. To see the crews at these facilities implementing their knowledge with smooth running plants and water quality improvements on subsequent visits is extremely rewarding!”
— Wesley, Field Technician
“One of the most rewarding parts of my job is working alongside and training the local staff we get the pleasure of working with at our various sites overseas. We can see the progress year after year between our annual maintenance visits. It’s meaningful to see how much our input means to them.”
— Jessie, Field Technician
“It’s been great experience training staff/personnel. Our training is site specific, so the staff comes to know their equipment inside and out. It’s exciting to see the level of comfort the staff has after our training. What’s the most rewarding is the relationships made with staffs across the world and their entrusting in us that they can reach us anytime should anything come up.”
— Chris, Field Technician
Lasting Impact
These moments of knowledge sharing do more than check a box. They improve system performance, reduce emergency repairs, and help ensure the long-term success of the facilities we serve. More importantly, they empower people.
As our team continues to travel around the world, we remain committed to supporting local staff every step of the way. The systems we build are only as strong as the people who maintain them, and we’re proud to play a part in helping them succeed.
